In 1994 a triathlon on a full ironman distance was first arranged in Kalmar. The first and only race on that distance in Sweden.
In 2012 Kalmar triathlon were purchased by the World Triathlon Corporation who also rebranded the race as an international Ironman competition. 2014 was the first year that Stongdal Media made a media production about the race, then under the name Assar03.
Stongdal Media is a journalistic organization, which is also defined in its regulation document The Device Regulations Chapter 7, 2§. A journalistic organization is defined in this context as an outlet covering and discussing facts about the world, peoples' lives and destiny, as well activities involving other humans.
Stongdal Media is not an official sponsor or partner with Ironman Sweden. Stongdal Media do not in any way claim rights to the Ironman brand or can speak on their behalf in how their brand should be used. Questions regarding this are referred to the Ironmans Brand Guidelines. Stongdal Media productions also use audio from Epidemic Sound. The music published on that platform has been downloades and used with a license. The music are the property of respective copyright holder. All productions which Stongdal Media published on Youtube are copyright protected, also by individual photographers. You reserve the right to use and share my content to some extent.

This year's theme was the amazing destination and location of Kalmar.
The eight production told about the strong feelings of believing in your own restart in a supernova. How well it feels to live again, but end with feeling it should have last for ever but you need to let go.
Ten years of Ironman Kalmar Sweden productions. The theme this year was the amazing destination of Kalmar and Öland. This year I aimed about showing the beautiful environments the athletes traverse.
The audience and amazing party. After new directives on media partners from Ironman, this years video had a different approach. Focusing more on the public, audience and party all around Kalmar. This was also the first year a drone was used in the production.
The superpower in believing in yourself. After two years of abscence, Ironman Kalmar 2022 returned. This video was a huge sucess and is one of the most viewed videos ever on Stongdal Media Channels. This years I also had, for the very first time, additional photographers along the course. The viewers got the chance to follow the race to Öland.
This year I also filmed parts of the Mini Triathlon, later in 2024 known as Ironman 4:18:4.
Much like the rest of activities and events around the world, Ironman Kalmar in 2020 and 2021 were cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
After two years of abscence with my own production, I made one in 2019. This years theme where the community, how all strangers came together for one huge party.
During these two years I was employed by Kalmar's local newspaper Barometern. As part of by employment I worked with the newspapers' tv productions covering Ironman. Due to this, I had no time producing my own productions.
First year as a media partner. After producing my own videos for two years I was officially approved for media partner status. This time I covered new areas which I did not have access two previous years, such as transistion, starting zone and finish line. The theme this year was the sport and competition.
This year I aimed at filming the race from a new perspective. This time under the new name Stongdal Media. The entire channel and business had a new aim towards journalism and this also affected the production of this year. My focus from 2014 changed to be more aimed at the actual race and competition.
2014 was the original premiere for my very first ever Ironman movie. Back then it was made under the previous name Assar03. On this page you will very soon see a remastered version of 2014s Ironman-movie!
